Scott Ritter: Right about Iraq. What about Iran?The ongoing controversy over alleged nuclear weapons development by Iran is “a crisis made in Israel.” This charge is made in a new book by Scott Ritter, who — for seven years — was one of the top United Nations weapons inspectors in Iraq.

A tough-talking Marine, who was a ballistic missile advisor to General Norman Schwarzkopf in the first Gulf War, Ritter says that the same pattern of lies and disinformation used by the Bush administration and its allies in Israel to get the United States engaged in the war against Iraq is now being used to drag the United States into a war against Iran.

Ritter’s book, Target Iran, subtitled “The Truth About the White House’s Plans for Regime Change,” issues a warning Americans need to heed, because everything Ritter said earlier about the drive for war against Iraq was proved correct. As famed investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has said:

“The most important thing to know about Scott Ritter, the man, is that he was right. He told us again and again in 2002 and early 2003 as President George Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair prepared for war in Iraq that there were no weapons [of mass destruction].”

Ritter is able to speak out so profoundly because he is virtually inoculated from the charge of being “anti-Israel” or “anti-Semitic.” As Ritter notes in his book, in his service in the military and in the weapons inspection field, he placed his life on the line in defense of Israel. Ritter writes:

“The conflict currently under way between the United States and Iran is, first and foremost, a conflict born in Israel. It is based upon an Israeli contention that Iran poses a threat to Israel, and defined by Israeli assertions that Iran possesses a nuclear weapons program. None of this has been shown to be true, and indeed much of the allegations made by Israel against Iran have been clearly demonstrated as being false. And yet the United States continues to trumpet the Israeli claims, and no individual more loudly so than the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton.

“If Iran were to attack Israel without provocation, I would argue long and hard for America to come to the aid of its friend and ally. But I cannot tolerate the idea of America being pushed into a war of aggression against Iran when Iran threatens neither Israel nor America. And this is what is happening today. Israel has, through a combination of ignorance, fear and paranoia, elevated Iran to a threat status that it finds unacceptable.

“Israel has engaged in policies that have further inflamed this situation. Israel displays an arrogance and rigidity when it comes to developing any diplomatic solution to the Iranian issue.

“And Israel demands that the United States take the lead in holding Iran to account. Israel threatens military action against Iran, knowing only too well that in doing so Israel would be committing America to war as well.

“When it comes to Iran, Israel can no longer be said to be behaving as a friend of America. And it is high time we in America had the courage to recognize this, and take appropriate actions.”

Ritter notes the United States and Israel are “two completely distinct nations, and should never be treated as one and indivisible.” He says the United States must rein in powerful Israeli lobby organizations such as the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Americans also need to recognize that “national loyalty is a one-way street, and in America, for Americans, that one-way sign points only toward the United States of America.

Editor's comment: Scott Ritter has been at the forefront of the effort to expose the attempt to vilify Iran for doing what is permissible under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, of which Iran is a signatory.

The simple fact of the matter is that Iran has no capability to enrich uranium. Furthermore, it is not known if Iran is capable of constructing a P2 centrifuge that functions. This is a vital piece of hardware and enrichment cannot be done without it.

Ritter Debunks Iranian Nuclear Threat in this transcript excerpted from the short film clip at YouTube:

"To actually run a cascade that enriches uranium, Iran will have to use its own indigenous supply of uranium ore which is heavily contaminated with the element molybdenum (and other elements - Ed.).

"Iran can't separate molybdenum from its uranium. So, if they run UF₆ (Uranium Hexafluoride) contaminated with molybdenum through a centrifuge cascade it will destroy the cascade. This is known. This is known by everybody.

"So this is absurd in the extreme to talk about Iran suddenly representing a threat. We know Iran doesn't represent a threat."

One comment by Ritter which caught this editor's eye was a hit at the dual-loyalists in and out of government in the U.S., where Ritter says, "national loyalty is a one-way street, and in America, for Americans, that one-way sign points only toward the United States of America."

This is clearly intended to put the neocons and other Zionist symathizers and collaborators on notice that their disloyalty to America and pursuit of treasonous activities intended to put the policies of Israel ahead of the true national interests of the U.S. (rather than the interests of the corporate elite) will not be tolerated by nationalist-minded and loyal patriots. We see this as completely disgusting behavior and something which no nation can tolerate. As Cicero said, "Even a murderer is less to fear."

What is more disgusting about the vilification of Iran (a replay of the same propaganda used against Iraq) and the ever-present Islamophobia spread by the subservient and lapdog sycophantic mainstream media such as FoxNews, CNN and others, is that we find out an Iranian filmmaker, Nader Talebzadeh, is currently touring the U.S. while interviewing a cross section of Americans for his upcoming documentary, From Tehran to Texas, which has been completely ignored by the mainstream press.

Talebzadeh says that Iran & U.S. Have Much in Common, as this additional article by Mike Piper and American Free Press shows.

Talebzadeh also says he has found one issue on which those he interviewed agree: they oppose the idea of a war against Iran as dangerous and unnecessary.

As a friend of ours, who happens to be fluent in Farsi, points out where this second article is posted, "It is a crime against humanity, culture, and civilization that the fascists in control of the Executive Branch are actively planning a catastrophic nuclear attack on this ancient and cultured nation."

But, then, what is there that is respected by the neocons and their Zionist masters but the Trotskyist ideology of perpetual war, and the destruction of any nation or civilization which opposes them, in a frenzied blood lust of eternal Talmudic revenge?

It is a fact that the civilization and religion of Islam is the last remaining culture to oppose the usury of the international bankers. This in itself is reason enough for the plotting of the destruction of this ancient culture by the international bankers.

Piper points out in further comments by Talebzadeh,

But Talebzadeh was able to build kinship on the basis of religion, letting Christians know that “every day when we Muslims get up at dawn and pray to God, we are praying for the safe and timely return of Jesus Christ.” This is something, he noted, most Christians don’t understand about Islam.

In Talebzadeh’s judgment, much anti-Islamic hostility is the consequence of political propagandizing by what he candidly referred to as “Zionist” elements determined to stop Christians from learning how much there is in common between Islam and Christianity.

As Talebzadeh predicts, and rightfully so, he believes Americans will ultimately change their government from an empire and that it will "survive as a free republic, transformed for the better."

We can only hope that this transformation will come soon. But the wisdom of the matter tells us it will not likely be with the upcoming November elections.

It is a foregone conclusion that whichever half of the ruling duopoly of the fraudulent two party system takes power, even at the 2008 elections, little will change but for a few small things which may then be proclaimed as change, but is merely window dressing to keep the sheep quiet.

The best thing that could happen is that people would stay home and boycott the theft of their votes by the electronic voting machines. That would send an unmistakable message that people are fed up with the current fascist tyranny.

Amazing Uproar In The Zundel Thought Crime Trial

Report about the Zundel Hearing October 4, 2006

Up-front, please let me apologize for not using correct trial vocabulary since court protocol is very different in Germany from hearings on this continent. Also, since trial transcripts are verboten, what little information I get is second-hand and, of necessity, subjective. With this report, I am doing the best that I can.

I was told that this October 4 hearing was going to be a brief, insignificant session of a couple of hours only, dealing with administrative matters. Dr. Schaller, one of the defense attorneys who had submitted a detailed summary September 29 of the geopolitical significance of Zundel's lifelong quest for truth - " - to get to the bottom of what the heck happened at Auschwitz", as Ernst himself put it in his documentary DVD - was not going to be at this hearing, since he has to travel from Austria, an eight-hour trip each way. I did not even announce the date on the Internet, since I did not want Zundel supporters travel long distances at great expense and inconvenience to them, only to be disappointed.

As it turned out, this hearing was one of the most significant and dramatic events as yet that played in the courtroom in Mannheim. It seems that the prosecution, with Judge Meinerzhagen as its designated bottleneck, dropped all pretenses in near riotous outbursts that can only be described as bizarre, hysterical panic to keep the historical truth from coming uncorked!

Prior to this hearing, Defense Attorney Rieger had submitted a number of extensive "requests" to the court - pardon the imprecise term - asking in clear language that forensic and documentary evidence be allowed, as well as the testimony of prominent expert witnesses. I will not go into the details because the copies that I saw were in German and it is too complicated to give you a feel for what these papers summarized, other than to say that this was the first time, to my knowledge, that the defense dropped all hesitation and went on the offensive in a forceful and decisive way - a courageous strategy indeed in the wake of explicit threats to them to be charged with the same "offense" as Ernst Zundel. After all, the court intoned over and over, the Holocaust could not be anything but "self-evident" and should not, could not, and would not be put to the test!

Specifically, in reference to expert witnesses, the Zundel defense team had requested that both the President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, as well as Hugo Chavez, President of Venezuela, be permitted to testify as to the harmful consequences of keeping the world in the dark by pretending the Holocaust was what it purported to be - a "fact of history" - now contested by this obstreperous Swabian in Mannheim. Several other potential expert witnesses' names were submitted who would shed light where darkness reigned, among them Fred Leuchter, the chief investigator of the dreaded "gas chambers" of Auschwitz and other major Third Reich concentration camps. One of the interesting and unknown items, for me, was a document listed that showed that Jewish factions had aborted an investigation years ago that would have more precisely determined the number of "Holocaust" victims. Another document that Attorney Rieger had either submitted previously or tried to submit at this hearing was an Open Letter by the Iranian President to Germany's Chancellor, Angela Merkel, in which the Iranian head of state shamed the German government for imprisoning Holocaust researchers in order to prevent the truth from coming out. Ahmadinejad is reported to have said, according to an interview in Germany's Der Spiegel in May of this year:

"The extortion and blackmail continue, and people are not allowed to think about or even question the source of this extortion, otherwise they face imprisonment. When will this situation end? Sixty years, one hundred years or one thousand years, when?"

I have read President Ahmadinejad's letter in both German and English translations - it is widely available on the Net and, naturally, on the Zundelsite http://www.zundelsite.org - but to my knowledge it was utterly stonewalled by Germany's mainstream press, and Chancellor Merkel had called it a "scandalous" letter she would, of course, ignore!

One of the most dramatic moments in this hearing came when Ernst Zundel decided to break his self-imposed silence and let them have it, Zundel-fashion, for the first time in more than 18 months. I never understood and was never given an adequate explanation of why he chose to remain silent for so long, but I utterly trust Ernst's political judgment - he must have had his reasons. This day, it seems, he had his fill - he stood up, dug in his heels, accused the court of shamelessly running a secret political show trial where only written submissions were allowed, to be read by the court at the exclusion of both public and press, and proceeded to read President Ahmadinejad's Open Letter right into Judge Meinerzhagen's horrified ears!

At that point, pandemonium!

Judge Meinerzhagen simply lost it - and started to scream, his hands shaking and his face distorted with fury, that this was an "impertinence" - in German, "eine Frechheit!" - that the defense was trying to pull the wool over his eyes by making the defendant the messenger of what, precisely, he had forbidden the attorneys to submit at risk of their own welfare! It seems that the verbal confrontation that ensued was the Mother of all Shouting Matches - it even worried the armed police at one point! Apparently it looked like it would come to blows!

Folks, please take this as an incomplete report that I am writing in the middle of the night, a continent away. I look at this newest twist in the dramatic Zundel Saga with both dread and elation. I will not even attempt to interpret what all this could possibly mean - let's simply say that finally it looks to me as though the German government, on its knees before Zion for more than sixty years, has lost its grip before the precipice and broadcast its own terror - of the inexorable Power of the Truth!

Editor's comment: It would have been a joy to be a fly on the wall to see this. From what we have heard and read while following this story, Judge Meinerzhagen is there only to rubber stamp the Zionist orders to put Ernst Zundel back in jail.

The Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has hit the Zionists right between the eyes. And they continue to howl in horror at the audacity of this outspoken and straightforward man.

The whine of eternal victimhood is fading in the background as the perpetrators of the greatest hoax in the history of the world lose their grip on the lie machine they themselves had initiated.

As for those in the media who have gone along with the hoax, woe unto you, for you are now exposed as the liars and enablers of this hoax which has allowed the uncontrolled plunder of nations and peoples for the benefit of a small minority of fraudsters.
