Hit Man Admits Mossad Ties

Widespread Israeli political assassination network exposed in Lebanon

Israel's long history of involvement in political assassinations in Lebanon was exposed when a Lebanese assassin confessed to working for Israeli intelligence and having killed a number of Lebanese and Palestinian resistance leaders.

A Lebanese man working for Mossad, Israel's military intelligence agency, confessed to having assassinated a number of senior members of the Lebanon-based Hezbollah and Palestinian resistance groups over a seven-year period, according to a recent Reuters news report. The confession by the Lebanese assassin that he worked for Mossad is a significant confirmation that Israel has long been involved in carrying out political murders in Lebanon.

On June 13, the Lebanese army reported that Mahmud Rafah, who had been arrested along with three others in connection with the May 26 killing of two Islamic Jihad officials, was a leading member of an Israeli "terrorist" network behind at least three other major assassinations in Lebanon.

"Investigations by military intelligence showed that the terrorist network that was discovered had links to the Israeli Mossad for several years and that its members underwent training both inside Israel and outside," the army statement said.

"The network was tasked by this agency [Mossad] with carrying out these operations and was given secret communication and monitoring devices for this purpose, along with detailed maps of the target,: the army said, including "forged documents and bags with secret pockets."

TOOLS OF THE TRADE
The find included an Israeli camera that can take detailed photographs of streets while concealed within a bag and forged driving and identity documents which Rafah had received from Israel, the army said.

The Lebanese army released television footage that showed equipment discovered at Rafah's house in the Lebanese town of Hasbaya, on the border with Israel, and in a chalet that it said had been used in the latest assassinations. The footage also showed an air conditioning unit and a large speaker with built-in secret cabinets that the army said were used to transport explosives used in the Sidon bombing. Other finds included a television cabinet and a table fitted with secret drawers to conceal coded messaging devices.

Numerous Palestinian and Hezbollah resistance leaders have been killed in Lebanon in attacks, which the organizations blamed on Israel.

Rafah admitted to the murder of Ali Hasan Dib, a Hezbollah official, in 1999 in the southern town of Arba, the killing of another Hezbollah official in Beirut in 2003 and the killing of Jihad Ahmad Jibril, a Palestinian, in 2002, the army said. Jibril, who was killed in a car bombing in Beirut, was the son of Ahmad Jibril, head of the Damascusbased Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command, a Palestinian resistance group opposed to the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

Rafah also confessed to planting bombs that had either been found and defused or missed their targets, the army statement said.

As the linked article shows, the logistics of the Gaza blast was far beyond the capabilities of the Palestinians in Gaza. Actually, the Gaza blast precedes the Beirut killing of Hariri by nearly a year and a half.

It would not be out of line to see the Gaza bombing as a template for the intrigue in Beirut, an intrigue which had as its motive the ousting of Syria from Lebanon to attempt once again to bring Lebanon under the influence of the Israeli army.

One of the best summations of the Israeli-Mossad policy in the Levant was put forth by Justin Raimondo (Justin must have been looking over our shoulder) and with commentary by Henk Ruyssenaars.

Nothing has changed except the faces now in Israel with Ehud Olmert now as PM in Sharon's absense.

Just last May, Olmert called for renewed push for settlement of the West Bank by Jewish extremists.

And now, after the capture of an IDF soldier by Palestinians in Gaza, as reported by Ha'aretz, Olmert has said. "The age of restraint has come to an end..."

This was predictable and was foretold by this editor during the upheavals caused by Sharon's disengagement plan. Back then, we said that after the dust settles, the former policies would be brought back out, revitalized, in a renewed push for a land grab against Palestinians along with further attacks by the IDF.

Networks Using Israeli ‘Security’ Software

The most critical computer and communication networks used by the U.S. government and military are secured by encryption software written by an Israeli “code breaker” tied to an Israeli state-run scientific institution. This comes on the heels of public outrage that stymied a U.S.-brokered deal in which a foreign firm would take control of several U.S. ports.

On March 28, 2006, a Bedford, Mass.-based company called RSA Security, Inc. issued a press release, which revealed that the National Security Agency (NSA), the U.S. intelligence agency with the mandate to protect government and military computer networks and provide secure communications for all branches of the U.S. government, would be using its security software.

RSA stands for the names of the founders of the company: Ronald L. Rivest, Adi Shamir and Leonard M. Adleman. Shamir, the lead theoretician, is an Israeli citizen and a professor at the Weizmann Institute, a scientific institution tied to the Israeli defense establishment.

“My main area of research is cryptography—making and breaking codes,” Shamir’s web page at the Weizmann Institute says. “It is motivated by the explosive growth of computer networks and wireless communication. Without cryptographic protection, confidential information can be exposed to eavesdroppers, modified by hackers, or forged by criminals.”

AFP inquired with the NSA about its use of Israeli-made security software for classified communications projects and asked why such outsourcing was not seen as a national security threat. Why is “America’s cryptologic organization” using Israeli encryption codes? NSA spokesman Ken White said that the agency was “researching” the matter and would respond in the coming week. By the time AFP went to press, White had not responded to requests for more information.

AFP has previously revealed that scores of “security software” companies—spawned in Israel—have proliferated in the United States.

For example, Unisys integrated Israeli security software, provided by the Israel-based Check Point Software Technologies and Eurekify, into its own software, so that Israeli software now “secures” the most sensitive computers in the U.S. government and commercial sector.

RSA, an older security software company, acquired an Israeli-run security software company, named Cyota, at the end of 2005 for $145 million.

In January 2005, Cyota, “the leading provider of online security and anti-fraud solutions for financial institutions,” had announced that “security expert” Amit Yoran had joined the company’s board of directors. Prior to becoming a director at Cyota, Yoran, a 34-year old Israeli, had already been the national “cyber czar,” having served as director of the Department of Homeland Security’s National Cyber Security Division.

Yoran had been appointed “cyber czar” at age 32 by President George W. Bush in September 2003.

Before joining DHS, Yoran had been vice president for worldwide managed security services at Symantec. Prior to that, he had been the founder, president and CEO of Riptech, Inc., an information security management and monitoring firm, which Symantec acquired in 2002 for $145 million.

Yoran and his brother Naftali Elad Yoran are graduates of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Elad graduated in 1991 and Amit in 1993. Along with their brother Dov, the Yoran brothers are key players in the security software market. Amit has also held critical positions in the U.S. government overseeing computer security for the various systems that apparently failed on Sept. 11, 2001.

Before founding Riptech in 1998, Yoran directed the vulnerability-assessment program within the computer emergency response team at the U.S. Department of Defense. Yoran previously served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force as the Director of Vulnerability Programs for the Department of Defense’s Computer Emergency Response Team and in support of the Assistant Secretary of Defense’s Office.

In June 2005, Yoran joined the board of directors of Guardium, Inc., another Israeli-spawned “provider of database security solutions” based in Waltham, Mass.

Guardium is linked with Ptech, a Quincy, Mass., computer security company that was providing computer security to key government agencies during the 9-11 attacks.

Ptech’s official history states that it was founded by a Lebanese Muslim and funded by a Saudi millionaire. Yet Ptech’s clients included all the key federal governmental agencies, including the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Naval Air Command, Congress, the Department of Energy, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Internal Revenue Service, NATO, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Secret Service and even the White House.

The marketing manager at Ptech, Inc. when the company started in the mid-1990s, however, was not a Muslim or an Arab, but an American Jewish lawyer named Michael S. Goff.

In the wake of 9-11, during the Citizens’ Commission hearings in New York, Indira Singh, a consultant who had worked on a Defense Advanced Research Project, pointed to Ptech and MITRE Corp. being involved in computer “interoperability issues” between the FAA and NORAD. At this time, however, Ptech’s ties to Arabs was the focus, and Goff was out of the picture.

Given the previous information revealed concerning Ptech and the theft and worldwide black marketing of knock-off versions of PROMIS software, these latest revelations fit into the scheme of things quite nicely and show that the U.S. is a proxy state for Israel and not vice versa.

So deeply entrenched is the Israeli espionage apparatus within the corporate structure of the U.S. government that, short of wholesale elimination of these companies and the spooks who operate them, regaining control of the sovereign power of this nation would be an all but impossible task.

What is so amazing is that the NSA would allow any foreign-linked company, whether or not based in the U.S., to become a source for technology used to secure the nation's most high level computer systems.

This is incompetence and treason at the highest levels and further proof that the neocon managers who have infiltrated key agencies in the past few decades are the source of all of the intrigue and sell outs which are promoting the Israeli, Marxist version of the New World Order in an attempt to pre-empt the Bush Crime Family version of soft fascism.

Dual-loyalists abound within the ranks of the government-corporate symbiant. The story outlined above about the Yoran brothers is the epitome of dual-loyalist treason.

We can best draw an analogy to this modern day betrayal from an earlier era and the words of Teddy Roosevelt from a speech to the Knights of Columbus on October 12, 1915:

"There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all. ... The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic. ... There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else."

Woodrow Wilson followed the same thought with this utterance:

"Any man who carries a hyphen about with him carries a dagger that he is ready to plunge into the vitals of this Republic whenever he gets ready."

Neocon Achilles' Heel: Ignorance of History

It has come to our attention due to a recent post at Freedom4um concerning the History Channel program Nazi Guerrillas, that the most ignored aspect of the neocon agenda, which we have iterated previously, is their inability to grasp the lessons of history and of human nature.

This is the fatal flaw, or Achilles' Heel, of the War Party's "shock and awe" campaign of pre-emptive strikes and "making the world safe for democracy."

The History Channel program is nothing more than pure propaganda, as robin points out, "as if worried the 'proper' parallels would not be drawn, the program shifts to Iraq."

The implementation of the New World Order has long been a dream of the utopians and power brokers epitomized by the Bilderberg Group and other organizations such as the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations and its British predecessor and counterpart, the Round Table.

The combination of Malthusian population control, which included the deliberate neglect of populations and indirect methods of killing off population, with Darwinism, produced National Socialism (Germany), International Socialism (Marxist Russia) and International Corporate Capitalism (Global Socialism, headquartered in the United States), and these forms of social conduct have constituted the main reason for the unequal distribution of planetary resources, famines, planned biological warefare, environmental poisoning, suppression of knowledge, suppression of inventions, dependence on backward technology for the population, planned wars to kill off populations and general planetary disorder. The problem is in the Social Darwin-Malthus paradigm, which has now been combined with the pseudo-sciences of behaviorism and genetics in the attempt to assert even tighter control over the planetary population, yielding forms of Neo-Darwinism being perpetrated by a host of post-Atlantean re-treads, per a 1947 Princeton consensus.

Currently, in the ongoing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the U.S. and its allies face the unrelenting pressure of guerrilla warfare. Though we must take into account the fact that much of the so-called terrorist activity is being perpetrated by clandestine activity of the occupying powers in an attempt to promote sectarian violence as is so apparent in Iraq.

This brings us to the comparisons of the Iraqi resistance to the Nazi Werewolves. This is a clever propaganda ploy which has been on the table since 2003 when Condoleezza Rice, the president's national security adviser (and now Secretary of State), in this piece from Harper's, "compared the Iraqi guerrillas to the Nazi Werewolves who resisted the Allies after World War II; Rice pleaded for patience and suggested that building democracy in Iraq might take a very, very long time."

It is all too apparent that the analogy of the Iraqi resistance to the Nazi Werewolves is an open canard used to vilify Saddam and his regime as being Nazi-like, when if the truth be known, the Bush regime and its neocon puppet masters are themselves the epitome of Nazi-esque tactics and disinformation. Herr Goebbels would be proud at the masterful mass manipulations engendered by the compliant and controlled media.

It is not just Bush who has ignored the lessons of history, but all of the neocons from Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Perle and Feith and a bevy of their cohorts who have infiltrated the Pentagon and State Department and even infest the inner sanctum of the National Security Council.

Even the Justice Department is not left unscathed where the planning continues to implement similar terror tactics against the people of the U.S. which the rest of the world has now seen in all its infamous glory in the episodes of renditioning, torture and false flag attacks.

If anything, the Iraqi resistance more closely resembles that of the U.S. involvement in Vietnam rather than the Nazi Werewolves.

This editor had warned shortly after the invasion of Iraq in 2003 that "the intrigue is a deep and ever widening tar pit waiting for the unwary to fall in." Fallen in is what the Bush Junta has done, in spades, with a little push from the neocons and their Zionist masters.

It should be noted that those ardent supporters of this fallacious policy of interventionism and regime change continue to boast that Iraqi oil revenues will be used for rebuilding Iraq. Some even have gone so far as to draw a comparison to the use of coal and manufacturing revenues in post war Germany to rebuild that shattered nation.

The actual fact of the matter is that Bush and Cheney have seen their plans for Iraq's oil fulfilled to the utmost, that of keeping Iraq's oil off the world market to promote higher prices.

The only paralells we can draw for the moment is that of the fascist combination of industry and government which Mussolini correctly termed "corporatism."

If there is any doubt in anyone's mind that we have indeed long crossed the threshhold of tolerance for this insidious form of tyranny, just try to oppose the corporate power structure and their lackeys in government. The money power will not allow it.

Something tells us the Iraqi Freedom Fighters don't want anything to do with the whole rotten mess.

The Bush-Olmert Axis

Israel’s Prime Minister Ehud Olmert calls it “convergence” or “realignment.” But whatever it’s called, Olmert’s new plan to impose unilateral final borders for the state of Israel by annexing chunks of the Israeli-occupied West Bank is inflammatory and dangerous. By 2010, Israel would complete the 415-mile-long barrier of concrete, barbed wire, and electric fencing that is snaking through the occupied territory. In the process, it apparently intends to formally annex areas of Jewish settlements, especially around the contested city of Jerusalem, retain most or all of the Jordan Valley, and permanently claim assorted other population centers in the area seized by Israeli forces in 1967.

Perhaps because its very unilateralism appeals to the president, or perhaps simply because Olmert has presented it as a daring assault against the forces of terrorism, the Olmert plan carries a strong appeal for President George W. Bush. Last week, during a triumphal visit to Washington, Olmert received support for his plan from the White House and utter adulation on Capitol Hill.

Western Europe, Russia, and the United Nations (the other three parties who, along with the United States, comprise the Quartet that is supposed to guide the Middle East peace process) are horrified about Olmert’s ideas. They rightly see them as the end of the “Road Map” for a Middle East peace settlement—one that is supposed to end in the creation of a viable Palestinian state. What Olmert is proposing is a one-sided peace by fiat, imposed by Israel through force of arms, with American backing. Former Palestinian security chief Mohammed Dahlan says flatly, “Olmert's plan is the most dangerous plan proposed in 10 years.”

To be sure, the ever-present split between realists and neoconservatives inside the Bush administration keeps them divided over Olmert’s plan, too. The striped-pants set at the State Department, who are institutionally committed to the Road Map and who recognize that Olmert’s ideas would condemn the region to another generation of strife, oppose what Olmert brought to Washington. But according to U.S. intelligence insiders, hard-liners in Vice President Cheney’s office—particularly John Hannah, the vice president’s national security adviser, and David Wurmser, the vice president’s Middle East adviser, both U.S. partisans of the Israeli far right that produced Ariel Sharon, Bibi Netanyahu, and Olmert—are strongly backing Olmert’s ideas. And last week they won a big battle. President Bush, referring to Olmert’s unilateral plan, called it “bold.” Bush added: “The prime minister's ideas could be an important step toward the peace we both support.”

Far down in an article in The New York Times, the battle over the Olmert plan inside the Bush administration was presented as a struggle over words:

Negotiations took place over the last week or so on how Mr. Bush would characterize Mr. Olmert's proposal for withdrawal, with the Americans eager not to be seen to support what the Palestinians would call an Israeli land grab of occupied territory. Having first suggested that Mr. Olmert's ideas were ‘interesting,’ the negotiators moved to ‘constructive’ and finally to ‘bold,’ which pleased the Israelis.

Needless the say, the Times doesn’t mention whether “reckless” was one of the adjectives batted around.

On the surface, the United States is ostensibly sticking with the old Road Map, making a great show of continuing to press the Israeli government to pursue talks with Abbas, who in turn is struggling to assert his power against the new Palestinian government led by Hamas. But Olmert, eager to seize on the rise of Hamas to justify abandoning the peace talks that his party has opposed for decades, misses no opportunity to disparage Abbas. “He is powerless,” says Olmert. “He is helpless.”

The United States is aiding Olmert immensely by adopting radical measures to isolate and embargo Hamas with heavy political and economic sanctions. And inside the Bush administration, neoconservatives such as Hannah and Wurmser in Cheney’s office and Elliot Abrams of the National Security Council insist that Abbas can no longer be a viable partner in a peace process. So, it seems, they’ve persuaded the administration to support Olmert’s unilateralism. It’s all moving quickly. According to Olmert, Israel will abandon even the hope of peace talks by the end of 2006 and then proceed with “convergence.” Haaretz, a leading Israeli daily, says that last week Bush and Olmert agreed on a plan to begin implementing the plan. In July, Haaretz says, “Israel and the United States will begin covert talks on the convergence plan.” The U.S. side will be led by Abrams.

Bush’s support for Olmert’s unilateralism is of a piece with the U.S. invasion of Iraq, the blustery U.S. war talk about Iran and all the rest. It blatantly disregards the U.N. and international law, it flouts alliances and it deliberately angers rivals like Russia and China. Taking it even further, Bush has repeatedly stated that the United States armed forces are committed to defending Israel against any and all attacks. “I told the prime minister what I've stated publicly before: Israel is a close friend and ally of the United States,” said Bush last week. “And in the event of any attack on Israel, the United States will come to Israel's aid.”

But don’t expect to hear a lot of criticism about the new Bush-Olmert axis from other parts of the U.S. political spectrum. Almost no one is asking exactly what Bush means when he says that the United States will “come to Israel’s aid.” Under what conditions? No defense treaty links the two countries, and Israel is not part of any alliances. Exactly what is President Bush committing the United States to do?

If you’re wondering whether Congress might get involved in all this, don’t worry. They won’t. Last week Olmert spoke to a joint session of Congress during his U.S. visit, and the transcript shows that he was interrupted no less than 39 times by applause. According to one report, he received fully 16 standing ovations. Olmert praised the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act, rammed through Congress by a bi-partisan coalition with only 37 nay votes earlier this month. That’s the measure that not only condemns Hamas, but would impose draconian sanctions on the Palestinians and even bar Abbas from visiting the United States. Olmert quoted the Bible (2 Samuel) to justify Israel’s policies, pitching that appeal to the Christian-Zionist right that sees Israel as the harbinger of Jesus Christ’s Second Coming. Claiming that the Palestinians apparently don’t want to talk peace, Israel will impose its own peace on them, he said. “Israel will seek other alternatives to promote our future and the prospects of hope in the Middle East,” warned Olmert.

If implemented, Olmert’s “convergence” plan will realize the Israeli right’s fondest wish: the formal establishment of a Greater Israel and the neutering of Palestinian statehood. By denying the Palestinians any part of Jerusalem, by creating a patchwork of Bantustans in Gaza and the West Bank, by preempting any Palestinian claim to their refugees’ “right of return,” Israel will plant the seeds for future conflicts, as no Palestinians will accept such a solution.

Editor's Comment: The other shoe has fianlly "dropped" and now we see the counter to Sharon's disengagement under the Road Map supported by the U.S. Department of State.

During the period prior to the withdrawal from Gaza and West Bank settlements the opinion of this editor was that the show put on by Netanyahu's split and resignation from his position in the Israeli government was a distraction and that there would be repercussions later after the bally-hoo over the disengagement had died down and the wall of hate continued to be built unabated.

Knowing the true feelings of the Palestinian majority, when Bush called for "open elections", it was well known that Hamas would score a resounding victory over the corrupt Fatah.

When Hamas did in fact win that resounding victory, Olmert and the Zionist fanatics took the opportunity to denounce Hamas and to pressure Bush to impose sanctions, which Bush did. This was a grave error and played into the hands of the fanatical Zionists' plan to derail the Road Map to Peace and implement the dastardly plan we see today.

This plan of convergence is nothing new and is the latest attempt to implement Eretz Israel. With Iraq being now neutralized for all intents and purposes and literally being split into sectarian entities, it is within sight to attempt regime change also in Syria as was part of the plan to destabilize the Levant with the assassination of former PM Rafik Hariri of Lebanon, in which Israel was a prime suspect.

The neocons have embraced Olmert's "convergence" plan whole hog and that the Zionist sycophants on Capitol Hill and the Christian-Zionists have fallen in line with the proposal is the death knell of the peace process and a precursor for continued hostilities in the Middle East.
